Calling All Platelet Donors

Nonnie has enjoyed being home over the last week. Other than feeling a little weak, she has been feeling pretty well. Starting yesterday and progressing through today, she has become very weak and short of breath. Papa took her to Riverside Community this afternoon and her counts have dropped significantly since last week.

The Oncologist she is seeing in Riverside is finishing up the prescription to allow people to make a direct donation. If you have given to Nonnie in the past, we are asking that you please make an appointment as soon possible. If you have wanted to donate, but could not because of scheduling or having to drive to Los Angeles, you are in luck.

We are hoping that there is no delay in getting the authorization. I made an appointment on-line tonight for tomorrow morning and will post to let you know if there were any issues.
