Separation Anxiety

Another good day today, only not as eventful as yesterday. Nonnie's blood counts are still climbing as expected. She is feeling a little anxious about going home, because the staff has been so attentive and ready to act when needed. The separation anxiety she is having from being at the hospital so long is completely normal. The staff would not put her in a situation that would place her in any danger.

Papa has been nervous to ask the doctors about the results from the spinal taps over the past two weeks. Remember when they did the spinal tap, she got additional doses of chemotherapy in case the leukemia was in her spinal fluid. He got the news we all wanted to hear.....no leukemia in her spinal fluid! Nonnie and Papa shared this emotional news together yesterday when they were finally able to embrace again.

  1. Linda,
We are so excited for you that you will be coming home this weekend! There's a lot of comfort and healing in a hug, so tell Dave to keep 'em coming! As you know, you are in our daily prayers.
    Love,

  2. My heart is so over-the-top happy for you Linda and David. Following your story for over a month now has been quite an experience. At the onset, my faith was rattled, and my heart shook with the velocity of a massive earthquake. We all, in our own way, questioned how could this happen to such a wonderful woman. Now I know that it takes events like this to whip us all into shape and get it right with God. I have heard the saying, "God never makes mistakes"....now I know it's true. You are an inspiration to all of us. Jeff has done a superior job keeping us posted. Saying just the right thing with just the perfect words. Thank you for letting him share with all of us.
    CONGRATULATIONS on the awesome news.
    Thoughtfully and with love,
    Kathi xoxoxo
